Son uses my old 99 Tahoe with the exact same trailer you have and it tows just fine. He'd just like a little more wheel length for added stability but it tows fine

If you contact the manufacturer you will find that they make a teflon piece for each bar that the bar rests on. This teflon piece fits over the metal where the bar rests and decreases the noise by a heck of alot. I forget what the cost is but have used these for the last couple of years and like them. A call to utah (I think) will get you a set quickly. That and a little grease in the right spots.
